Nick Wright is celebrating after being appointed to serve on a national task group to steer future developments in student employability. The Bolton Award Project Officer, was nominated in April to sit on the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services’ (AGCAS) Skills Award Task Group as its fifth member.
AGCAS is the professional body for careers and employability professionals working with higher education students and graduates and prospective entrants to higher education. Its Skills Award Task Group represents the key central functions, and the staff, in Higher Education institutions that are responsible for coordinating employability and personal development awards. The task group enhances sector awareness and understanding on existing award schemes through consolidating and formulating new research and sharing good practice.
Commenting on his appointment, Nick said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to the AGCAS Skills Award Task Group. As an institution the University of Bolton works with an incredibly diverse student population and I am looking forward to utilising my experiences of working with our excellent students to help improve the delivery of skills awards and wider student employability across the sector as a whole”.
