Yesterday saw the first Staff Engage Day for University staff. Received well, it included a whole host of interactive and informative activities.

The premise behind the day itself was to show how employees at the University are valued and to highlight the work that is being done to invest in their future health and well-being. The various activities available during the day at the University included yoga, seated acupressure, mental health awareness training and colouring therapy which are all designed to help people feel more relaxed and calm.

There was also someone on hand from our partner Sodexo to explain all the great employee benefits that are now available to University employees as part of the UoB Employee Benefits.

Jo Edwards, HR Business Partner said; “The idea for the event came benchmarking what other organisations were doing to engage their employees and it linked in really well with our local plans”

The day proved to be a success and we hope to build on this next year, by re running and growing the event further.

We would like to thank all those who participated both as attendees and those who provided support for the day.
