Following an assessment in December, by the Mentoring & Befriending Foundation (MBF), the university’s Student Peer Mentoring Scheme has been successfully re-accredited with the ‘Approved Provider Standard’ (APS). The APS standard is the national quality benchmark designed specifically for mentoring projects and we’re proud to have achieved this again!

Dr Emily McIntosh, Associate Director– Student Life, commented that: “Peer mentoring is a valuable part of student life, providing support for independent learning and helping new students to settle in and adjust to life at university.  We are delighted that our scheme has again been recognised as being of the highest approved provider standard and we are looking forward to working with the Mentoring & Befriending Foundation (MBF) for another three years.”
