A special event coming up: on Monday 25 April Quakers will be meeting for worship in the SLZ between 12.30pm and 1pm and they invite anyone who would like to experience their way of worship to join them there, and for refreshments in the chaplaincy Quiet Room afterwards.

Our regular activities have resumed:

Mondays 12.30 – 12.45pm – a time of Christian reflection and devotion to start the week, led by Dele Oderinde.  There will be a soothing start, a reading from Scripture and Dele will include the prayer requests that have been left in the box.

Tuesdays at 8.15am – Morning Prayer with Gill Smart. 15 minutes of Christian worship and prayer to get the day started well.

Wednesdays 1.15 – 1.45pm – Meditation and Stories in the Quiet Room. This is a pause for relaxation and meditation in the middle of the week. “Meditation and Stories” includes relaxing, spiritual music, stories and spiritual parables from around the world and an extended time of silence for meditation, reflection or just relaxation. It is led by Chaplain Stephen Lingwood and all are welcome, staff as well as students.

Friday prayer (Jummah Salah )is now at 1.30pm in the Prayer Room and the Quiet Room.

Information about when Chaplains and Pastoral Assistants are usually present in the University is displayed in the chaplaincy, and you can always contact us by emailing if you would like to speak to someone.
