If you have been out and about you may have seen some of your favourite lyrics emblazoned across huge billboards. Turns out it’s a rock star-inspired poem to celebrate the region’s nurses and help recruit new ones in these challenging times.

Penned before the pandemic, these lines are part of a script made only from different songs written by Greater Manchester artists, to throw light on nurses and the incredible job they do.

With support from The Stone Roses, Bugzy Malone, Elbow, New Order and many others, the poem has been made into a short film starring nurses from hospitals and NHS organisations across the Greater Manchester area.

Thanks to support from Apex Outdoor Media these powerful lyrics are also now appearing on billboards across Manchester, acting as a call-to-action for local people with the right skills to join the ranks of the NHS.

With Trusts, universities and others working together, and the region’s finest artists lending their vivid lyrics, this is a recruitment campaign like no other, for a role like no other. Visit www.greatermanchesternurses.co.uk/ to find out more
