Employees at the University who have dedicated a significant part of their working lives to the University were celebrated at the annual long service celebration event that took place on Wednesday 6th December 2017.
Employees reaching 20 or 30 years’ service over the last year were invited to attend the awards which were led by Dr Kondal Reddy-Kandadi, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic).
Eight employees attended the ceremony held in the Employee Lounge with their guests. During the event the Pro Vice-Chancellor gave a speech thanking the recipients for their contribution to the University and the President & Vice-Chancellor, Professor George Holmes, attended to give his personal thanks to each employee.
Mr Chris McClelland, HR Director, said “Every year at the University we recognise colleagues’ commitment and service to Bolton with our long service awards. I’d like to thank colleagues who’ve dedicated their careers to the University. Their commitment to their roles and to the institution is incredible and I was delighted to celebrate their achievement with them at the event. As a University our employees are our best assets and it is remarkable that so many of them have been at the heart of what we do for so long. This level of commitment and dedication is truly amazing and huge thanks to everyone who attended”
