braveTheShaveIt’s going to be a close shave for Tina McIntyre next month as she loses her locks for charity.

Tina, who works in Eagle Bistro at the University of Bolton, will ‘brave the shave’ in a fundraising mission for Macmillan Cancer Nurses.

Her head shave charity event is in memory of Gina Williams, who worked as team leader in the University’s Café Athena. Gina died after a brief illness last year.
Tina’s head shave takes place on Halloween 31 October and she will be busy fundraising until then. ‘I’ve been asking the lecturers I know if they’ll sponsor me but I’d be really happy to have contributions from anyone who wants to support me. I’m doing this in memory of Gina – we all miss her, I know.’

You can sponsor Tina by asking at Eagle Bistro for the sponsor form, or go online and donate. Her full name is Catrena so remember to go to https://bravetheshave.org.uk/shavers/catrena-mcintyre/
Macmillan Cancer Nurses says braving the shave and raising money makes sure that Macmillan Cancer Support can be there for people with cancer and their families. From help with money worries and advice about work, to listening when people just want to talk or have difficult questions, Macmillan is there.
