As an initiative to promote a healthier workplace, the University is offering colleagues the opportunity to be vaccinated against seasonal flu through its partner Boots.

The University is meeting the cost of this vaccination and it is being offered to employees on a voluntary basis (first-come, first-served) during September 2020.

If you are interested in taking up this offer you should contact Kerry Prescott, HR Administrator by email at . You will be provided with an e-voucher that can be used to obtain your flu vaccination in any participating Boots Pharmacy location in the UK:  https://www.boots.com/store-locator.

Those colleagues who fall into a high risk health category will be offered a free vaccination by their GP and therefore they are not eligible for this scheme.

Getting an annual flu vaccination is one way you can help prevent colds and seasonal flu from spreading, but it is not a substitute for coughing or sneezing into a tissue, throwing the tissue away and regularly washing your hands.  This vaccination will not prevent employees from contracting Covid-19.

For more information on flu vaccinations and for those colleagues who will be able to obtain a vaccination via their GP, see:
