Financial Criminology

The Centre for Islamic Finance will host its first leader event of 2016 with former Chief of Security at the Bank of England Don Randall MBE who will speak at the University on Thursday 28 January.

Don Randall MBE will be the fifth in a series of special CIF lectures which has previously included Lord Norman Lamont, former Chancellor of the Exchequer and Chief Executive of High Speed Two (HS2), Simon Kirby.

Don Randall served with the City of London Police from 1969-1995, with specific emphasis on fraud and counter terrorism.

Following 13 years at JPMorgan Chase as Managing Director, he joined the Bank of England in 2008 and was appointed the Bank’s first Chief Information Security Officer in 2013.

Now chairman of the ‘Sister Banks’, City of London Crime Prevention Association and ‘Project Griffin’ and a member of the City of London Crime Disorder Reduction Panel, Don has had a long and illustrious career in security and the police force for which he was awarded an MBE in 2007.

The lecture will begin at 5pm with an informal drinks reception following the lecture.
