Taking place in The Mall, on Thursday 28 April from 12pm-2pm, a cohort of second year Business and Management students will be showcasing goods and services developed as part of an Entrepreneurship Module (co-delivered with Young Enterprise) at the Business School.

The initiative is designed to enhance Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Education at the University. It couples academic rigour with practical application and encourages students to test the waters of business, and their ideas for development, in a safe environment. Student groups form companies, and experience first-hand the entire life cycle of business ownership: from set-up, funding, and planning, to goods or service development, marketing, selling, and winding-down.

The trading and competition element of the programme give students a chance to trade with the public via organised Young Enterprise Events and Trade Fairs. There will be a range of products on show including confectionery, health and cleaning, cosmetics and mobile phone accessories.

The most successful companies from the University will go on to compete against other Young Enterprise Companies and Universities taking part in the programme, developing from local and regional to national and international level events.
