The University of Bolton hosted a high-level delegation of six members of the senior management team from Hebei Vocational College of Politics and Law, China on 10 September. The delegation was interested to learn how the university employs information technology across campus.
The college’s Vice President, Professor Wei Ge, led the delegation which included the Director of General Office, Director of Department of Ideology and Politics, Director of Information Centre, Deputy Director of Teaching Affairs and Deputy Director of International Affairs Office.
The University of Bolton’s Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr Kondal Reddy Kandadi, welcomed the delegation. Presentations were given by members of staff from the Library, Strategic Planning and Student Data Management, Standards and Enhancement Office, School of Engineering, and Business Development. The visit concluded with a wrap-up session chaired by Head of Engineering, Professor Danny Morton.
Delegates and university staff explored collaboration opportunities for course development in business and management, staff training, and summer school participation.
Professor Ray Sheriff, the organiser of the visit, said: “The delegation was very impressed by the university’s academic expertise, learning infrastructure and absolute focus on student success.
“There was a clear intention from Hebei College to establish collaborative links with the university and we intend to build on their visit over the coming months to explore potential opportunities for our mutual benefit.”
