The School of Nursing is working with a local charity, ‘Endeavour’, which supports victims of domestic abuse.
A workshop/conference for the students within the school will be hosted to raise awareness of domestic abuse, to raise the profile of and raise money for the charity on 26 September.
Endeavour is a local Bolton charity that would appreciate your support. Below are a few ways you can support the charity:
- We need mobile phones urgently. We give out phones to women in abusive situations to help them keep in touch with us and get help in an emergency. Have you upgraded your phone and kept your old one? Please donate it if you can.
- We provide food and toiletries to women who flee from abusive partners and have left everything behind. We always need donations of tinned and dried food, toiletries sanitary products. Can you help?
- We offer a unique pet fostering service so that no one gets left behind. Animals are often used as a control mechanism in abusive relationships. We offer foster homes to keep animals safe until they are reunited with their owners. Can you donate any cat food pouches, dry food or cat litter?
All donations should be taken to Sheryl Sheen – based in Eagle Tower floor T3 and room T3-12
