Employability Week is taking place week commencing 4 March. The Careers Team are delivering a wide range of activities, covering everything from CV writing, understanding graduate routes, a LinkedIn Booth, psychometric testing and a mock assessment centre. In addition, there are 1-1 appointment slots and drop-in sessions available throughout the week at the main campus, at Queens, NCME and the Institute of Management. A full schedule is available at: https://studenthub.bolton.ac.uk
As part of Employability Week, the Careers team are supporting the Bolton-based organisation Working Wardrobe. This organisation is managed by Bolton at Home and has been set up to provide clothing for anyone of working age who has secured an interview (and not just Bolton at Home tenants). They make sure that customers have everything they need to look good and feel great for their interview.
So we are asking for your help! If you have any unwanted new or “gently worn” suits and smart work attire (for both men and women) please drop them off at the Careers office during Employability Week. They do not need to be cleaned. This will be taken care of before passing on to the customers. Some of the items they are looking for include: Men’s Suits, Women’s Suits, Trousers, Shirts, Blouses, Ties, Skirts, Dresses, Coats, Smart Shoes, Scarves, Belts and Bags.
