The Chaplaincy is busy over the next couple of weeks with two events for your diary.
Festival of Faiths, Tuesday 27 November: The Chaplaincy and Students Union working in conjunction with Bolton Interfaith Council and faith groups across the town have organised a Festival of Faiths to inform and celebrate our festivals. This is to promote understanding between the faiths of the meaning of our festivals and how we celebrate. There will be dance, music, food, singing, henna painting, calligraphy and a treasure hunt. If you have always wondered about a particular festival then come down to the SLZ, between 11:00 and 14:00 on Tuesday and ask the question.
University Carol Service, Wednesday 5 December: Christmas is on the way and the annual University Carol Service will take place in the SLZ at 12:45. Lasting approximately 30 minutes it will include familiar carols, readings and reflections. Come along and have a good sing. There will be refreshments available afterwards. Hope to see you and don’t forget to wear your Christmas jumper.
Chaplain Gill is available for students and staff to come in for a chat about anything that worrying them. Please let your students know that I can be found in the Chaplaincy at the back of the Mall. If I’m not in the office they can email or text (if urgent) to arrange a meeting
