Last weekend the National Centre Motorsport Engineering (NCME) students headed to Pembrey, Wales for another round of the 2018 Toyo Tires MSA British Rallycross Championship. At the beginning of the year NCME formed a strategic partnership with Albatec Racing, so the students studies could be enhanced with practical application trackside.

The Peugeot race car was driven by Mark Higgins, after a challenging day, Mark was able to recover and finish in third and secure pole for the Final.

Dr Mark Busfield, Director, National Centre for Motorsport Engineering:

“It’s been a challenging day, for Mark and the entire team. We had two good wins and the car once again performed faultlessly. But twice we sustained contact and the students got the chance to experience the politics of motorsport as well as the engineering challenges.”

The Albatec/NCME team is presently second in the points table, with one round remaining to go.
