A new scheme has launched for any University of Bolton employees with family members interested in studying here at the University. On a pilot basis for the 2018/2019 entry year, the University of Bolton is offering employees a benefit to those who actively recommend and refer family members to be new students on a University taught degree programme (at either postgraduate or undergraduate level). Under this scheme, where family members (spouse, partner, child, sibling or parent) are referred by employees (to include relationship where the employee has a step family or guardian relationship), the student will receive a fee reduction of 20% per year.

The scheme is open to all employees at the University as it has been recognised that all members of the University community can participate in and assist with the recruiting of new students. The scheme is subject to satisfactory progress in the student’s studies and the employee remaining in employment at the University. One fee reduction is to be awarded under this scheme per referring employee per year.

To apply for the benefit under this Scheme, employees should complete the online form accessed on the University website. The online form must be completed by the referring employee prior to the student enrolling and by 1st July 2018. Human Resources will check the employment status of those submitting an application and the Invoicing team will then contact the student once enrolled to validate the referral and make the necessary administrative arrangements for the fee to be reduced.
