Gearing up to deliver business management and accountancy classes in its new Institute of Management (IoM), the University of Bolton hosted a welcome event for students on Tuesday 24 October, showcasing the £6.5 million flagship building.

The successful event, which attracted over 140 students, featured a presentation from Alyson Fadil, People Director of online retailer Missguided and Chair of the Industry Advisory Board for the IoM. Those in attendance were taken on guided tours of the new Great Moor Street building as well as received a complimentary lunch.

Formerly known as the Bolton Business School, the IoM becomes the academic home to over 60 staff and can accommodate up to 2,500 students. The building boasts five floors of high specification teaching areas, business and office space as well as a café and roof terrace.

Director of the university’s IoM Bill Dawson commented: “This was a really great way for our people to familiarise themselves with the new IoM facility at Bolton Central and Alyson’s presentation of her remarkable career to date was outstanding.”
