The University of Bolton celebrates its contribution to the prestigious Design Manchester festival this week, as it represents the ‘regions’ of Greater Manchester for the event.

The international exhibition, which looks at the punk band Buzzcocks’ early years, is being displayed in the university’s Studio Gallery throughout the duration of the event, on the very spot they performed their first gig 41 years ago. The exhibition ‘Times Up’ was originally presented in Paris earlier this year and celebrates the artwork of Malcolm Garrett, organiser and co-founder of Design Manchester and respected hero of the design and music worlds.

There will be a private viewing of the exhibition on Monday 16 October at 18:00. The evening will include short introductory talks by Professor Paul Hollins and Malcom Garrett.

The university welcomes your attendance, you can register your interest here: http://www.bolton.ac.uk/Events/PunkExhibition/Home.aspx
