University of Bolton MBA student, Nick Richardson, is buzzing with excitement following the incredible news that his agency, Bee Industrious Market Research and Insights, has been shortlisted for the highly coveted Skills and Business Awards – Outstanding Innovation of the Year Award. The ‘dynamic research and insights’ agency was shortlisted for the development of their own database and online portal which provides clients with access to real-time data, launched under their Kids Insights (www.kidsinsights.co.uk) brand last month.
Richardson, who has been a student at the University of Bolton since September 2016, applying his vast experience in research and insight industry launched the agency in December 2016 after becoming aware of the power of insight in decision making in business. The agency has flourished since its launch, opening a headquarters in Manchester, UK and regional offices in Lagos, Nigeria and New York, USA.
The University of Bolton is so proud to see yet another student performing so phenomenally in their chosen career path. When conversing with Richardson about his experience so far on the MBA course at the university, he said;
“The Exec MBA course at the University of Bolton really gave me the confidence to launch Bee Industrious earlier this year. The practical nature of the course has really helped me with a number of aspects of the business from developing our recruitment and appraisal process to developing dashboard financial reports.”
The agency has had incredible success in a very short period of time, with a team of more than 40 researchers with extensive specialised experience. The agency also offers complete projects in more than eight languages. They service brands such as Quintessential Brands, SuperAwesome, National Food & Skills Academy and International Trade Council. They have strategic partnerships with organisations such as the International Trade Council and the Business Growth Hub. Last month Bee Industrious was also announced as a finalist in the 2017 Venturefest Showcase Awards and was chosen to take part in the acclaimed NatWest backed Entrepreneurial Spark Programme. Clients receive highly informative commentary and Bee Industrious aspire to help them profit and prosper from opportunities using a dynamic, agile and collaborative approach.
Richardson Managing Director of Bee Industrious comments;
“We are extremely honoured to have been shortlisted for this coveted award. Innovation is at the core of everything we do at Bee Industrious, and to be recognised for the innovations which we are bringing to the market is a great recognition of all the work which the team have been doing in the last few months.”
“I look forward to Bee Industrious developing a closer working relationship with the University over the coming years, the first stage of which will be exhibiting at their careers fair later this year as we look for both placement students and graduates to join our ever expanding business.”
The Skills for Business Awards, in association with Pearson, are being hosted by a partnership of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Manchester Learning Provider Network. The awards, that are in their fourth year, recognise and celebrate the direct impact learning has on businesses, individuals and communities in greater Manchester.
The company’s next target is to grow a strong international presence. The University of Bolton would like to wish Bee Industrious the best of look in the Outstanding Innovation of the Year Award and all other ambitious and exciting plans in their future.
