Congratulations to the University of Bolton students and staff who completed the University Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on Saturday 10 June 2017. Not only did they complete the challenge but they had to battle relentless rain and wind to complete the challenge in less than 12 hours.

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks is a walking challenge route with the circuit starting and ending at Horton-in-Ribblesdale, visiting the three highest peaks in Yorkshire: Pen-y-Ghent (691m), Whernside (728m), and Ingleborough (723m) in that order and the route is approximately 24 miles.

The challenge was assisted by 3 Medical Regiment and 64 Medical Squadron who the University are currently closely linked with and continually developing opportunities for both students and staff.  This will be an Annual event so if you fancy the challenge, give it a go next year (hopefully the weather will be a little kinder).
