Drop-in meditation classes: Our Buddhist Chaplain, Kelsang Tumo will be re-starting the drop-in meditation classes on Thursdays at 12.45 for 15 minutes. “Let go of stress & refresh your mind with guided meditations to relax the body & mind.”

Father Andrew Pastore, one of our Roman Catholic chaplains, is in the chaplaincy office on Tuesdays between 11.00 and 13.00 for anyone who would like to drop in for a chat.

Stephen Lingwood, our Unitarian chaplain, is back in harness after his sabbatical and will be in the Athena Café on Wednesdays around lunch time, and in the quiet room thereafter for ‘Meditation and Stories’.

Regular events continue: as well as Sumo’s meditation classes (see above) we have Morning Prayer on Tuesdays at 08.15. This gives 15 minutes of Christian worship and prayer to get the day started well. Then on Wednesdays we have – Holy Communion at 12.35 in the Quiet Room. Gill Smart, who is on the academic staff of the university and also one of our Anglican chaplains, is leading these services and you are welcome whatever your faith background.

Multi-faith room at Queens – Room S 47 on the second floor is a multi-faith room. The basic necessities for Muslim prayer are there, but it is for all faiths and none. It is rather bare at the moment – if you use the room we would welcome your feedback to ku.ca1575624491.notl1575624491ob@ni1575624491mdayc1575624491nialp1575624491ahc1575624491.

Information about when Chaplains and Pastoral Assistants are usually present in the University is displayed in the chaplaincy, and you can always contact us by emailing ku.ca1575624491.notl1575624491ob@ni1575624491alpah1575624491c1575624491 if you would like to speak to someone.
