Professor Mohammed Abdel-Haq the Director of the Centre for Islamic Finance (CIF) cordially invites you to attend and participate in the Symposium on the Islamic Financial Industry. This event will be focused on the juncture of financial practice and theoretical positions debated around the Islamic Financial Sector.
The Centre is fortunate to attract leading practitioners and academics to this symposium. Our speakers include: Mr Ken Eglinton, Partner at Ernst & Young; Mr Mohammed Tariq, Senior Corporate Banker and Member of International Advisory Board, Centre for Islamic Finance; Professor Peter Kawalek, University of Manchester and Professor Bob Wood (Emeritus) University of Manchester.
This event is developed for financial services professionals, banking professionals and students studying related subjects. The symposium takes place at the University’s Law Court in Senate House. It runs from 9am to 2pm on Wednesday 26 October 2016.
The keynote address will be given by Baroness Morris of Bolton, Chair of the Centre for Islamic Finance and Prime Minister’s trade envoy to Kuwait, Jordan and the Palestinian territory who will be speaking on Ethics and Integrity in the Financial Professions.
