An Evening with Jimmy Anderson takes place at the University of Bolton’s Deane Lecture Theatre on Wednesday 5 October 2016 at 7pm, following light refreshments served at 6pm.

Lancashire and England fast bowler Jimmy Anderson is England’s all-time highest international wicket taker. Burnley born and bred, he has taken 463 Test Match wickets and 269 in One Day International matches.

On 21 occasions he has taken 5 wickets in one innings of a Test Match. He is recognised as being one of the finest pace bowlers in the world and was recently ranked number one in the Test Bowlers Rankings.

This year he was honoured by The Queen with an OBE at Buckingham Palace.  Jimmy is married with two young daughters and launched his own menswear fashion brand in 2014.

Recent occupants of the hot seat include NorthWest Businesswoman of the Year Angela Spindler, former Bolton Wanderers and Manchester City footballer Francis “Franny” Lee, BBC North boss Peter Salmon, the former Chief Constable of Manchester Sir Peter Fahy, Greater Manchester Crime Commissioner Tony Lloyd, and Information Commissioner Christopher Graham.
