The University of Bolton Creative Show 2016 launched on Thursday night with a showcase of student talent, prizes, music and flash-mob improvisation.
The celebration of graduating students’ work – from games design to fine art, from theatre to textiles – fills Senate House until June 25, so if you missed the first-night fun, there’s still plenty of time to enjoy the show, but you can see graduates’ work without leaving your desk through the student show website.
Prizes were awarded to students from all disciplines. Among them was Alexander Spink, age 19, from the Foundation course who is going on to study Fine Art on the undergraduate degree. He told us he’s staying at Bolton because he appreciates the high levels of teaching support and the small class-sizes.
Schools and Colleges are invited to take part in workshops the week commencing 20 June, these are aimed at offering students an insight into what studying a creative subject at university may be like they aim to highlight different career paths Art and Design subjects can open up. Full details are available here
There is also a Business and the Arts Breakfast on 23 June. If you have contacts you would like to bring to this event or to attend yourself, you can register your interest and find out more detail here
