There are a host of events planned for the University as we hold our Celebrating Diversity Day on Wednesday 9 March 2016 in the SLZ from 11.30am-1.30pm.
We have four events for which booking will help greatly – details are below. The full programme of celebration through music, exhibitions, dance and food will be announced soon.
Celebrating Diversity Day has a host of stands and activities to showcase and encourage an understanding of equality and diversity. Here at the University of Bolton we are proud to be part of a multicultural community that is reflected in our vibrant and diverse staff and student body.

12noon -1.30pm. Thriving Dyslexia with Chathurika Kannagara
For both academic and professional services colleagues, the session will concentrate on communicating positive approaches to working with dyslexia and also tools which can be used for working with students with dyslexia.
Chathurika is PhD student at the University of Bolton, researching dyslexia and positive psychology. She has already published a number pf papers in distinguished journals.
If you wish to attend this session, and would like a coffee and a sandwich while you are there, please book by 5pm on Monday 7 March 2016
12 noon and 1pm Belrobics
If you’ve never tried belarobics you can see a demonstration on the SLZ stage at 12noon or watch this promotional video here and then try it for yourself at a Belrobics class in the Sports Hall in Bolton One at 1pm. 12.15-12.45pm Tune in, Chill Out with Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a deep relaxation experience for anyone feeling the need to let go of tension. No special clothing is required, you just lie down on a yoga mat, close your eyes and enjoy. Room for 15 people only. Led by Deana Morris in the Skills for Success Room, Library.
