Volunteering Coaching 2015-16

UoB Sport is pleased to launch the Coach and Volunteer Education Directory (2015-16), which you can view here (pdf). CoachingForStudents

We would be grateful if you could promote this to all your sports students and across University/ BSU networks during Semester 2 and encourage them to take advantage of the sports enrichment as part of completing the Bolton Award sports pathway.

This directory contains a comprehensive list of vocational training opportunities, external funding bursaries and eligible Award activities for students in and round Greater Manchester including:

  • Sport specific National Governing Body (NGB) qualifications
    • Workshops designed to support the development of coaches
    • Contact details for the training providers
    • Qualifications for those wishing to train as a referee/umpire.
    • Emergency First Aid certificates

Students should be advised to simply read through the NGB sport specific and generic training and CPD opportunities, and follow the booking link to register your place and make payment. Please encourage them to book early to avoid disappointment and remember these activities count towards their Bolton Award for Sport!

Year 3 SSC and SDC student eligible for University coaching bursaries should access courses of their choice and redeem their funding through Course Leaders.
