The Centre for Advanced Performance Engineering have announced an exciting collaboration with Century Motorsport. The innovative alliance will provide unrivalled opportunities for students studying Motorsport Technology and Automotive Performance Engineering. A fundamental part of this new alliance between the two parties is the announcement of the team’s first confirmed entry into British GT4 for 2016 with Anna Walewska and Nathan Freke behind the wheel. Read more here

 

 

PatrickNess

Famous young adult fiction author Patrick Ness has been enchanting children and adults alike at a special ‘meet the author’ event run by The Young Imaginators from Bolton Libraries, with support from the University of Bolton.  Patrick came to Bolton to visit schools and talk about his new book, The Rest of Us Just Live Here. He is also the creator, sole writer and co-executive producer on a new, official Doctor Who spin-off series for television called Class. Read more here

 

 

CareersFairStudents and graduates met employers from across all employment sectors at the University of Bolton’s careers and opportunities fair on Thursday. More than 50 national and regional businesses were in attendance allowing students to network and forge professional relationships that will help build their career futures.

The power of community policing was at heart of Sir Peter Fahy’s speech as he spoke at the University of Bolton in the latest of Bolton Business School’s ‘An evening with…’ events. The recently retired former Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police believes working in neighbourhoods to deal with crime at its roots, whether that be domestic violence, illegal money lending or terrorism, is the way forward. Fab NHS Stuff award

The University’s Health department has been nominated for the Fab NHS Stuff award. Members of the team will attend a luncheon in London next week when the winner will be announced.
